7 Books That Belong in Your Beach Bag (or Bathtub)
Smart, swoon-worthy, & a sweet escape: my friend Madeline shares her top book recs for the Summer
I do love to read, but I personally am only ever reaching for a memoir, biography or self-help book. I wish I could say I wasn’t always this way, but I have vivid memories of checking out biographies from the library in elementary school. So as it turns out, I have indeed always been this way.
Lately though, I’ve been finding myself being more curious about stretching my go-to’s to reach the fiction genre. While I love to dive into a book about learning a new skill or improving a habit (like the next recovering perfectionist) once in a while it’s nice to lean into less “make me better” and more “make me feel something”— you know what I mean? Sometimes getting lost in someone else’s story to find new pieces of ourselves is just the ticket. And when it comes to solid, quality book recs? I knew to look no further than my friend Madeline.
A tried and true proud lover of books, this woman has extensive knowledge on what makes or breaks a good page-turner. (Honestly, she’s a go-to for so many resources and ideas; this gal is chock full of knowledge and tips! The perfect kind of friend to have, the one who is quick to say ‘I got you!’) She always has good recs at the ready so when I asked her what she would suggest for summer reading, the list flowed freely and with enthusiasm— so I had to share it with you!
In no specific order, here are 7 titles to get you inspired:
All of these can be found anywhere you shop for books— online, in person or even your local public library. (Pssst: always check your local bookstore to support, too!)
Thank you so much for sharing, M! Xx
